An easier, unified view for Matik admins

To make template management easier, we’re introducing a new unified template view for admins, giving them the same streamlined experience as end users.

Tabs View for Admins

Presentation and document templates will now feature a tabbed view for admins, giving them easier access to template management and generation.

  • Setup Tab: This tab mirrors the current admin view, where you can access the side panel to manage dynamic content, inputs, conditions, loops, and more.
  • Generate Tab: This tab mirrors the end-user experience, allowing admins to see exactly what their users will see. While you still fill in the same inputs, it helps ensure you curate the right experience for your end users.
  • End User View: If you still want to experience the end user view, hover over your name in the top right corner and toggle “End User View.”

Streamline Actions for Generate, Send & Schedule

We’re also making improvements to how admins and end users interact with the Generate, Send, and Schedule functionalities across all types of templates.

  • Bulk Generation via CSV: For presentations and documents, bulk generation will be accessible via a “CSV upload” tab in the left sidebar.
  • Scheduling Actions: Scheduling will now appear as a button in the left sidebar for all template types, making it easier to find and use.
  • Send Mail Button: For Mail templates, we’re moving the “Send Mail” button to the left sidebar, similar to how the “Generate” button works for presentations and documents.

Renaming the "Presentations" Tab

When Matik first started, the focus was on automating presentations. Now that we’ve expanded to other content types, like email and documents, we’re renaming the Presentations tab in the top navigation bar to Generated. Both admins and end users will now be able to find all generated content here.

What’s Staying the Same?

While we’re unifying and simplifying parts of the template generation experience, some things won’t change: only admins will have access to the Analytics, Data Sources, Dynamic Content, and Inputs tabs
